BALE UDANG MANG ENGKING - BACK TO NATURE!

Well... hallo everyone!! Its quite a looooooooooooooooong time since my last blog update!! There's a lot of good things happen that makes me super busy so i cant updated my blog but today i spare some times to give you a quick update about BALE UDANG MANG ENGKING.

During our #travelwithbandungfoodie trip to Bali back in December 2015, we explored so many tasty places and we have a chance to try bale udang mang engking - kuta. Basically, they offer various of delicious Indonesian food. Raise your hands if you love Indonesian food?!

Bale Udang is manage by AVILLA hospitality management, the same company that manage Le Jardins, Berry Amour Villa, Alindra Villa, Kokonut Suites, Bliss Surfer, Berry Hotel, Legian Loft, Cozystay, Taman Air Spa, Berrybiz hotel. 

Bale Udang has a very beautiful atmosphere, as you can see that the pond was sorrounded by bale. They give a choice to be seated on chairs or dine in sitting crosslegged by the pond. Of course we choose the crosslegged one, what could be more exciting than to be surrounded by koi fish while eating.

Anyway, guests are allowed to feed the fish by giving fish food that sold by the restaurant (5K/pack) i bet not only your kids but you would like it! Bale Udang also has playground area for your active kiddos.

Okay lets talk about the food.

HONEY GRILLED PRAWN 110

I must admit that their HONEY GRILLED PRAWN was PHENOMENAL!! It was so good, the prawns were so fresh yet moist and rich, so good it's hard to describe!

PRAWN WITH SALTED EGG 95K

Well it was new to us because we never eat prawn with salted egg combine with corn, turns out it was good tho!

CLEAR CARP SOUP 85K

The soup was rich, savory and very addicting, all ingredients including the tomato and spinach were very suitable for the gourami fish soup.

DEEP FRIED FLYING CARP 90K
It was tastily crunchy, best eaten with their super spicy sambal!

DEEP FRIED BREADED MUSHROOM 30K
Another deep fried menu, oh blame my mouth for always craving for crunchy things. This one is perfect companion dish.

This one is their specialty, it was kale with coconut shaves. Taste so light yet so good.

Do not skipped dessert!! You have to try their all time favourite 'tape goreng' and bale udang's various ice drink, great for cooling down.

Overall, Bale Udang gives extraordinary dining experience to us. This place is like a gem and i would recommend it. Price are reasonable and place is rather visited on the afternoon.
